Vacancy : Young Persons Support Assistant

Rate Of Pay : £15.14 per hour

Our project FREE Routes post has been designed to provide, and promote a range of support and engagement for young people (aged 12-26) who are affected by someone else’s substance use. The post will operate in South Lanarkshire.
Providing person centred support, tasks may vary each day but include ensuring the young people have transport to and from activities, facilitating groups and building trusting and empowering relationships with the young people we support.
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable applicants with relevant experience of working with vulnerable young people individually and in groups. You must have knowledge of the issues some young people face growing up in a home affected by substance use and be understanding and sensitive to the challenges that may bring to both the young people and their families.
This post is for a sessional worker who will deliver a service throughout South Lanarkshire covering all localities. Due to the nature of this post, access to a car is essential. It is expected that the post holder will be required to work evenings and occasional weekends. This post will be part of Family Recovery Everyone Everywhere team and be supervised by the Project Lead.
