South Lanarkshire Alcohol Drug Partnership

Our Vision and Priorities

South Lanarkshire is a place where:

  • All people have the right to a long, purposeful, meaningful life and for this life to be free from the harms of Alcohol and Drugs.
  • Individuals and families are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Individuals, families and communities are included and fully supported to find their own unique concept and working model of recovery.

We will achieve this vision by delivering, in partnership, the Public Health priority to reduce the risk of harm from alcohol and drugs, with a particular focus on reducing alcohol and drug deaths and promoting recovery, embracing a whole family approach.

#Naloxone

Naloxone
Naloxone is a medicine that can temporarily reverse the effects of opioids, such as heroin and methadone, if someone overdoses. It is available locally at the First Responder and Recovery Beacons – Blantyre, Cambuslang, Rutherglen and soon to be East Kilbride and through the organisation My Support Day, also based in the beacons.
